Dido's WC 2006

AWESOME Didomi winter camp 2006.

Why: to Get Real with God, with my fellow Didomites

It was a rather long road towards the camp but I got to talk a lot to grade 10s and 9s. God does provide the opportunities to bond with each other and i'm glad I turned around and talked to people whom I usually don't, instead of sleeping.

During the camp, I felt really excited but at the same time disconnected from everyone. I sort of felt a little apart from everyone and was hoping for wc to bring back the bonds.

God does provide and He certainly revealed His comforting hands gently stroking my head and telling me that Didomi is your support group and don't be afraid to share. During candlelight sharing, so many people opened up, so many of my bros and sis supported me, so many prayed for me, and i'm sooo relieved.

I always burdened myself to bring Didomi back to where is was when last year ended. And i'm pretty sure many people also pressured themselves to do so. But it turned out that the burden only hurts myself, everyone around me and obviously Didomi. Many people drifted away from God, many people didn't come to Didomi. But after wc, actually after candlelight sharing, God lifted that pressure from me and i'm sure He also did so to others. I feel sooo refreshed now, so free, so much energy to once again serve Him.

I found that first love. The joy, the rejuvenating power and strength to love Him, to serve Him and to obey Him!

Thank you soo much Didomi committee, winter camp committee, ALL the didomites, ALL the wise and suportive counselors and, saving best for last, GOD!!

I'm once again happier than ever, more joyous than ever, more loving than ever.
